In this age of digital photography with marvelous images being created in new media, I remain committed to the act of making art by hand. When human beings first drew on the walls of caves people found a powerful, irreplaceable voice. The immediate connection of hand and eye to our interior human life opens endless possibilities for expression.

My work is concerned with the eternal questions about the meaning of life, death and the possibilities of things felt but unseen. Within these uncharted spaces we can find a way through difficulties both personal and political. The language of art still possesses the magical power to transform darkness into light.
